Special Issue on
Evolutionary Algorithms: A Tool for System Design
Journal of Intelligent Computing
Summary
Currently there is a growing interest in using Evolutionary Algorithms (EAs) to solve variety of computer science and engineering problems. EAs show a powerful capability in solving many system design problems in a variety of applications areas. For example: imaging systems, modeling and simulation of dynamic systems, control system design, monitoring and control of manufacturing processes, industrial systems planning, automation and scheduling, chemical and power systems design, robotics, signal processing, software engineering, evolvable hardware, parallel and distributed processing, grid computing and many others.
Topics of applications include, but are not limited to:
- System Modeling
- Evolvable Hardware
- Intelligent Agents
- Manufacturing Applications
- Mobile Robots
- Constraint Optimization
- Multi-Objective Optimization
- Imaging and Vision Systems
- Signal Processing
- Time Tabling and Scheduling
- Medical Applications
- Communication Systems
- Computer Networks
- Industrial Processes
- Others
