Advanced Features of the Developed Digital Library to Supplement Conventional Information Access: A Perceptive View
Abstract
Beginning with removing time and space constraints imposed by traditional physical libraries, digital libraries promise significant societal benefits, especially for e-learning in the digital or mobile age. Since libraries are one of the service sectors most affected by information technology, library and information professionals must acquire this knowledge and skills. This article summarizes recent developments in digital libraries, including their characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses, which come from our perception. The views in this work reflect the influence of information technology on traditional information search.
