Science and Technology Research Evaluation is increasingly a mandatory requirement in the research management systems across countries. Newer indicators are produced and tested to improve the reliability of evaluation. Still, a perfectly acceptable solution in the 'research-evaluation' system is elusive. Assessment transcripts generate both linear as well as skewed models reflecting inconsistencies. Approaches and techniques to identify the objectivity to derive significant insights are thus essential in the science and technology research assessment.

The Journal of Science and Technology Metrics is concerned with how the use of many metrics may involve the assessment of different aspects of science and technology which are best expressed using different approaches. The journal is expected to provide a platform for presenting novel ideas and discussing their application of metrics in Science and Technology System.
